Christian Discrimination

Christian Discrimination is a form of religious discrimination that occurs when actions are made against a person based on their Christian religion. In the United States, Christian discrimination is generally not a problem since an overwhelming majority of the population follows Christianity. However, similar to other forms of religious discrimination, those who discriminate against Christians are in violation of the law. United States law has found that religious discrimination to consist of circumstances where a person is denied equality based on their Christian religion, including unfair treatment in education, housing public accommodation, and lending. Education is an especially sensitive due to "separation of church and state,"but it has often been determined that a school cannot force a person to violate his/her religion or be criticized of his/her religion. In settings like employment or housing, a person cannot be denied an opportunity on the basis of their Christian religion.
