Christians Discrimination

Christians discrimination is a term used when referring to the unfair treatment of Christians based on their involvement in the Christian faith. At times, Christians may be victims, of bias, intolerance, hatred, or other similar discrimination because of their religious beliefs. Since Christians discrimination occurs as a result of a person's religion, it is a type of religious discrimination. As all other types, this form of religious discrimination is unlawful. All citizens are granted religious freedom as one of their constitutional rights, and if religious freedoms are violated, it may constitute unlawful discrimination. In addition to the constitutional rights, citizens are also given protection through federal legislation. According to the civil Rights Act, employers are prohibited from discrimination on the grounds of religion. This act also makes religious discrimination, including Christians discrimination, illegal in employment, public accommodation, and land use. The Fair Housing Act, another piece of legislation passed in 1968, reinforces the right to housing by prohibiting denial of housing based on a person's religion.
