Civil Rights Attorneys

Civil Rights Attorneys play an important role in the protection of United States citizens' civil rights. Civil rights include protection from discrimination against a person's age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, national origin and race. Other civil rights guaranteed by the United States government to its citizens include the freedom of speech, religion, assembly, the right to petition the government, the right to bear arms, the right to procedural due process and to be free of unreasonable search and seizures and cruel and unusual punishments. A civil rights attorney knows and understands the law regarding each individual's rights and how they have been violated. The attorney will be able to file a lawsuit for the citizen that has had their rights violated while also filing a complaint against the entity that violated the rights.
