Discrimination Of Women

Discrimination of women is a practice that appears far too often in many environments, including education, the workforce, and finances. In employment, discrimination of women tends to occur in two forms - a woman being denied a position because of her sex or being offered a lower salary because of her sex. Often times, discrimination of women in employment is harder to prove, as woman are generally paid less and make up a smaller part of the national workforce. Discrimination in education or finances usually involve a person being denied involvement because of their sex.

Regardless of where discrimination of women occurs, the practice is also very unlawful. Not only are individuals protected from discrimination in general, the law is very clear about the unlawfulness of sex based discrimination, and the penalties that may follow for those who discriminate in this way.
