Workplace Gender Discrimination

Workplace gender discrimination occurs when an individual experiences abuses based solely on his or her gender. In general, discrimination occurs when the majority treats the minority inferiorly. In many situations, gender discrimination occurs when an individual has been harassed, neglected for promotions or pay increases or otherwise has been unable to advance in their job due to their gender alone. In situations where this may be proven, workplace gender discrimination is illegal and punishable by law. However, the individual must show that the harassment occurred based on their gender alone.
